If you have ever had the opportunity to visit Kansas City, you know they are …….. all the Beef. BBQ runs rampant in the city. I had the absolute pleasure of spending an extended weekend here teaching at a photographic workshop. As luck would have it, we were able to step away from the “sauce” one day and find a Sushi bar …… the alternative beef.
The photograph displayed below was taken in 2006 when I spent two weeks in KC shooting for a book publisher. The view of the city was taken from Kaw Point, the exact (well the say) location that Lewis and Clark came ashore when they were traveling up the river. If L&C could only have imagined what the other side of the river would eventually look like in years to come.
