Good Morning! It is extremely hard to believe that 2017 has come and gone and we already head strong into the first quarter of 2018. I am extremely thankful for another year that allowed me to continue to do what I love so much. 2017 was a year that I was able to spend time with family and friends during my travels and is something that I continue to cherish. I am truly grateful for all of your kind words that you have expressed over your Monday morning coffee while reading my Miss-Adventures.
2017 was a year full of memorable Miss-Adventures that kept my lens focused on such things as music events, travel destinations, aviation, sports and celestial happenings. It was the year I traveled back to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and watched a once in a life-time solar eclipse in Sparta, TN with my road tripp’n buddy Dave Hickey. As I look back on the year a few highlights standout amongst all of my many travels. I celebrated two glorious birthdays during the year traveling to Montego Bay, Jamaica to be part of my dear friend, Valentina Hiestand, 40th birthday and then spent a week in Cape San Blas, FL. hanging out with friends and my long time friend, “Uncle Bubba” Phillip Sowder while we toasted his 60th Birthday. But when it is all said and done the trip that meant the most to me last year was my trip to Mesa, AZ in February to meet my new born great great nephew, Greyson Hayes. Nothing quite measures up to meeting that little guy.
Along the way there were a few bumps in the road, losing dear friends and my final trip home to Tampa to sell my childhood residence. As I have done many times in past years, I closed 2017 with my annual holiday trip back to Mesa, AZ to visit with my sisters family for Christmas and then flew to San Diego to ring in the New Year with dear friends. The trip to California is in it’s 14th year and this year, god willing, I will be back in 2018 to help celebrate my friends, Dana and Renee’s 15th wedding anniversary.
Here’s to 2018 and all the Miss-Adventures this year will hopefully offer. As you may know, I do have a camera and I do love to travel ENJOY!
Best Regards ….. And Much Love!!!!
