Good Monday morning to you! After a fast and furious weekend trip to Columbus, OH. I write you with coffee in hand from Huntsville, AL.

My recent trip to Europe seems like a distant memory, almost as if it were a dream that I wake up from wondering if I really was there. Thank GOD for the thousands of photographs that I shot during those two weeks of travel to remind me that I really did go.

Looking back on the trip there are just too many visual memories that would be impossible to showcase but while touring in the Norfolk area we did visit Blickling Estate which was built in the 15th century. Blickling is best known for being the birthplace of Anne Boleyn, the daughter of Sir Thomas Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII and the Queen of England from 1533-1536. It is rumored that the headless ghost of Anne haunts the estate.

The last stop on my tour of England was Windsor where the Queen resides at Windsor Castle. The town of Windsor was the closest thing that I experienced during my travels that fit my vision of what a city in England would be like. The city offered everything you would expect from a town that had “royal connections”. Most impressive was the Queens residence, which sits soundly in the middle of the city.

Of course, what visit to the UK would not be complete without the opportunity to see the changing of the guard. While not as majestic as the changing of the guard at Buckingham Place, the pomp and circumstance of the daily ceremony of the guard at Windsor Castle is none the less an exceptional spectacle of English history. It was just one more in the many highlights that I experienced during my two weeks in Europe. I am ready to go back. ENJOY!!!
