CHASING DREAMS

Welcome to 2021 ….

I think it would be an understatement to say last week was monumental. Without getting into the politics, my hope is that we can “all” find a way to move forward, to fight the pandemic and to come together as a nation for the common good of each and every person, no matter what side of the fence you may sit on.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that has followed my photography that my real happy place is the 25 minutes or so that closes out each and every day commonly called the magical or golden hour. It is the time frame that GOD and mother nature put their crescendo on the day with a setting sun. Each and every sunset is special and no two will ever be the same. No matter what obstacles my day has thrown at me, I can count on that time period to take me to a better place … my happy place.

Over my many years of chasing sunsets I have been privileged to capture quite a few in very familiar settings as well as many exotic places. When any of those include clouds … they tend to add the WOW factor to the moment. This past week I was able to experience and capture the essence of two Alabama sunsets and provide an exclamation to why two will never look the same – one sunset for its beautiful simplicity and one for its’ dramatic commanding presence.

There is an old saying that a “picture is worth ten thousand words!” Then I can only imagine what two pictures may be worth. Enough said – Enjoy the moment.
