Greetings and welcome to the last few days of April. For those of you that were in town this past weekend it was spectacular for two of the three days. If the saying is true that April showers bring May flowers, Mother Natures timing is right on.

I was fortunate enough to be free and in town this weekend and took the opportunity to get downtown to enjoy a night at Panoply, Huntsville’s premier art festival. Every year the Arts Council and festival staff does an exceptional job of putting together just the right mixture of food, music and the Arts. This year was no exception and the council ordered up a weekend of incredible weather, well at least for 2 out 3 days.

Opening night was a spectacular evening with the sights and sounds of what Panoply has come to be known for. The festival allows for a very relaxed setting to meet up with friends, to enjoy local food and libations and view some of the finest artist from the southeast displaying their works.  The evening was capped off with a colorful array of fireworks.

Unfortunately, the threat of severe weather and rain caught up with the festival on the final day and the festivities were cut short keeping some of the best homegrown bands from showing out during the final hours. It was just another wonderful Panoply weekend. Hopefully the severe weather they are predicting will not find its way here.

ENJOY and Be Safe !!!!!!!
