Let the countdown begin to New Years Eve and the celebration of another year passing. I hope your Christmas was a special time spent with family and friends and that Santa, whether you were naughty or nice, was very generous to you.
As has been tradition for the last few years, I was fortunate enough to get to spend Christmas again with my father and my sister and her family in Mesa, Arizona. I generally spend the first part of my visit shopping for all my nieces and nephews and the rest of the time eating to sustain my shopping stamina. I’m sure my doctor is not going to be too happy with me on my next visit.
The second part of the Arizona holiday tradition for me is getting out and doing a little “road tripp’n!’ The state has so much to offer photographically with it’s variety of desert and mountain scenery. My very favorite thing to capture is the desert cactus against a setting sun. On one of my excursions out to the Apache Trail I found a beautiful church setting. I just knew it was something that I had to stop and capture.
With the church scene under my belt the journey continued. With daylight becoming a factor. I realized that the day was coming to an end and I knew that I was now in the hunt for the perfect cactus and the perfect sunset. As is normally the case, Mother Nature did not disappoint me.
Happy New Years Eve and I wish you well for 2014!
ENJOY!!
I hope you have enjoyed Season # 4 of my Miss-Adventures. I know I have enjoyed sharing my travels and exploits with you! Word is it has been picked up for a 5th season.
