YOU KNOW …. New Orleans is still the City!!! Rocking and Swaying to every note. I had the opportunity to take an extra day to tour the city while shooting for an annual report.

For those that have been here it needs no introduction but for the one or two that have not, this is the St. Louis Cathedral, a well know icon of the city.

For those receiving this blog for the first time, it is the latest entry in my photographic escapades! I started it in 2008 to keep in touch with friends, family and clients.

Current travel has me headed to Newark, North Carolina and Phoenix.

We find ourselves this week witnesses to a very historical time in our lives – the inauguration of our 44th President, Barack Obama. I know that we all wish for a brighter future for our Nation and for our new President.

A collaboration of man’s and Mother Natures talents ……. The guiding light for sailors off the Outer Banks ……….. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse!!!

You know it seems like with all the travel I did in 2008, it really did (pardon the pun) fly by. One thing for sure, when it is all said and done … there really is no place like coming back to ……Sweet Home Alabama!

Traveling does allow you to experience some of the finer things in life but it also makes your realize that Huntsville is a very unique and beautiful place to be from. We have so much to be thankful for living in this beautiful city and there are so many wonderful places to visit and capture.

One of those places – Bridge Street Town Centre – makes you almost imagine that you just could be …… in another country.

I look forward to being home for a while and the opportunity to see

I trust and hope you had an incredible New Year. On to 2009!!!

I start this year where we left off last year – with a heavenly view.  

This is one of my all time favorite aerial captures, shot right in Huntsville a few years back. Every time I see this I think of the quote by Leonardo da Vinci:

“ONCE YOU HAVE TASTED FLIGHT, YOU WILL FOREVER WALK THE EARTH WITH YOUR EYES TURNED SKYWARD, FOR THERE YOU HAVE BEEN AND THERE YOU WILL ALWAYS LONG TO RETURN ”

As you might have guessed, I spend allot of time looking ……. UP!!!!
