Up, Up, and Away

Monday, December 29th, 2008

It is hard to believe that we have “flown” through 2008 and just about to step right into 2009. Where has all the time gone?

I trust you had a wonderful Christmas and now look forward to a memorable New Years Eve celebration.

I thought what better way to leave you than with a reflection of much of my travels – a view out of the window of one of the many Delta airplanes I flew on this year. This capture of the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay was taken from my window seat on the my last flight of 2008 / Delta 883 …. a trip home for the holidays.

I wish you nothing but the best of success and health for the new year. Thanks to you all for making my 2008 so special.

Best Regards

Happy Holidays – Island Style

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

It is that time of year when I can stop and look back over the previous years’ events and be very thankful for the opportunities that I have been given due to my profession. It is a time when I can stop and give thought to all the travels and all the images I have been fortunate to have been part of. It is also time when I can stop and give thanks for family and friends. If you are receiving this email then please consider yourself “family and friend.”

I have allot to be thankful for this year and it is all due to the kindness and consideration each of you have shown. Without each and everyone of you none of the joy I have been able to capture and express through my passion of photography would have been possible. I thank you for that and look forward to our continued friendship in 2009.

With that, I give you one last look at my last big adventure – Puerto Rico – and “le deseo una muy Feliz Navidad” (Wish you a very Merry Christmas)

Feliz Navidad

My best wishes for you and your family throughout the Holiday Season!!!

And So It Goes

The Journey Continues …….

What better place to escape mother natures winter fury then head to the islands …. Puerto Rico that is. After having traveled coast to coast ….. from Hatteras, N.C. to Seattle, Wa. to Richmond, Va., I found myself flying to warmer climates for a corporate shoot. It goes without saying that the locals are incredibly hospitable and the cervaza’s are very cold.  From here it is on to Texas and then home for the Holidays.

I was fortunate enough to catch this sunset in Rincon, Puerto Rico at Tres Plamas. My only regret will be that I cannot stay to catch more spectacular views of what the island has to offer.

As always, if needed for an upcoming assignment, I can be reached by email or cell phone.

Happy Holidays ……

Coast to Coast

Monday, December 8th, 2008

How do you adjust the ole internal clock when you you are looking at the Atlantic coast in Hatteras, N.C. in the morning and find yourself looking at the Pacific coast in Seattle, WA. that evening. That is exactly what Friday December 5th had in store for me. Course a good glass of California Cabernet definitely helps with jet lag.

As luck has it, I write from the Seattle airport this morning headed home to Huntsville for a 12 hour visit. One night in my bed and then it is off to Richmond, Va. for a two day shoot and then on to San Juan, Puerto Rico for a shoot for Johnson & Johnson. Delta cookies are starting to become pretty tasty.

I leave you with one last look at Cape Hatteras at sunset and promise to provide other images as my travels continue. BUT ….. how can you not love the Outer Banks or OBX as the locals affectionately call it.

Stand Tall – Shine Bright

Monday, December 1st, 2008

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. I was very fortunate to be able to spend the holiday with my mother and father in Tampa, Florida. Of course, I ate too much – you just got to love leftover turkey sandwiches.

I write today from Hatteras, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, a stop over on my way to an assignment in Seattle. The Cape Hatteras National Seashore is a collection of beautiful beaches and historic light houses. Attached is one of the many N.C. lighthouses, Bodie Light Station, constructed in 1872.
